Charles Rannells has been with Swart, Lalande & Associates for 24 years, and has prepared tax
returns for members of my family for a number of those years. The returns were professional
and thorough.
I do my own returns now using tax software, and I asked Charles if the growth of personal and business tax software impaired his tax preparation business. His response was that it did not because his clients generally have complicated returns that only a professional CPA should handle. I agree that tax software is helpful, but is not a replacement for a qualified CPA. Swart, Lalande & Associates is a top quality accounting firm. One of the outstanding features of the firm is the fact that most of the principals have been together since the beginning of their careers. The principles possess a broad range of expertise and a combined 200 years of experience in public accounting. The firm has a fine web site and publishes a monthly newsletter.
