Smalls Formalwear is a division of Nationwide Formal Wear, Inc., which operates 65 Smalls
stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and New York. The company
has been in the formal wear business since 1978, and offers more than 100 tuxedo styles
including Christian Dior, Pierre Cardin, and Perry Ellis.
Ishu Khoob, manager of the Tyson Corner store, has been in the formal wear business since 1983. He emphasizes that the benefits of Smalls stores is on-going training for employees and managers, access to a wide variety of styles, and an extensive computerized system to insure availability for customers. The suits are shipped from Westchester, Pennsylvania to the stores. Smalls prefers 4-6 weeks lead time for wedding parties, but can quickly handle rentals for immediate needs. For example, if a suit is needed on Sunday, you can order by as late as Thursday and receive the suit on Friday. Smalls also rents jewelry and sells suits which can be purchased for as low as $200.
